Living Well is the Best Revenge

As of late a lot of very interesting things have occurred I want to report on.

For so many years now a certain group has in the past put forth many attempts to discredit me and this art. Frankly it amazed me at the level of hate, name calling and out right lies that were generated. But other things amazed me more. I just never could figure out how one man generated such robotic students who blindly parroted his lies and deceptions about us without even taking any time to investigate the facts or even just look at some of our videos or attend a seminar. What made it worse was when you actually examine the leader’s ability it made it even harder to figure out not to mention not one shred of evidence was ever given to support any passing on of information with a real grade or title to him except from one family member to another with the real roots of it always cloaked in the hazy deception of a fun house mirror. No matter how much evidence I would supply as to the real facts or show actual documents and pictures and signatures he would just yell very load and his students blindly followed along the path.

Eventually I decided the best thing to do was go on teaching and promoting our great art and see how long the spell lasted. Lately the spell seems to be wearing off of a LOT of his former victims. How do I know this? Well many are in contact with me and honestly I now understand the game completely. Did you ever wonder how Nazi Germany convinced all of those people to murder innocent men women and children or how all of those people in Jones Town drank the "cool-aid"?

Here in a very brief example was the ploy:

1. Have a foreign accent.
2. Speak loudly.
3. Act like you have secret knowledge.
4. Have a family member tell the students when the big guy is not around that they are his "children" That he loves them and has big plans for them and they will be his Generals.
5. Yes Generals, i.e. an army, what does an army do but blindly follow the commander.
6. Play up any illness for sympathy and the desire in the "children" to make the "father" happy.
7. Here is where it gets tricky, humiliate the students in front of other students and regularly throw them out of the organization hoping the desire to please the Father at this critical stage will cause them to accept ANYTHING he tells them on blind faith just to get back in good grace.
8. Now install hate in any competitor they fear is better and forbid any of them from every speaking his name or reading his books or looking at his videos because he is BAD. At this stage it does not hurt to make up BS stories about sparring matches or other things to add to the pot.

Once I understood how this worked I can now understand all of the hate without justification. The former students who have been in contact with me were embarrassed to talk to me at first because of the things they had said, but had somehow actually seen some of our art and was amazed it was not what they thought. After the first contact it has gone like this every time. I offer to send a few videos, they get them and are amazed and saddened as to the things they said. Weekly I am getting these calls and emails. Virtually this man’s paper empire has fallen down around his head and I have been told he now gets to see many of his former students seeing for the first time the truth about all of the lies and tall tales, fake degrees, teachers, fake war stories and military history the works and yes the lies about us. I am sorry for them. Many of them have lost thousands of dollars and have been betrayed and humiliated. Every one of them who has contacted me has been treated like a gentleman no matter what they said in the past, it was not their fault.

To all of the others if you wish to contact us no hard feelings will be expressed in this art. I hope to teach my students that it is not all about fighting but also how you treat your students and fellow human beings that is most important. Pencak Silat was supposed to be an art that protects you and your family from harm. You are supposed to be the benefactor of good, if any one person violates these principles, even if they are successful for a while eventually the blind faith wears off and what is exposed may not be pretty at all. Worse some keep making the lies bigger and bigger changing teachers in mid-stream making up entire new histories with the arrogant belief that since they can make their victims (students) believe. This then, the stretching of the thin control line is what finally broke the back of this organization and let most of its top students see at last.

To my teachers treat your students with respect and honor for it is them that will carry this art forward, hopefully doing good in the community and with the other human beings we come in contact with enriching there lives not making them feel like the victim they came to the Martial arts to avoid in the first place.
